The city does have programs for vacant lots.You can just let it eventually go to scavenger sale but you will get a ding to your credit.You can try to donate it to a charity.

I also am somewhat stunned at some of the responses I have seen when I made a post a few weeks back ( as I was pretty sure landlords would have to work with their tenants short term during this crisis)  that those in the rental business were pretty cavalier with reponses like  ( No pay NO stay,  Not my issue, We are not a charity, ) so on and so forth..

I know when I posted this question 3 weeks ago 75% or more of the responders were of the mind if their tenants don't pay its not their problem.. they are running a business not a charity etc etc.. well I guess we will see how it all play outs. what I am coming to realize is that a lot of landlords that are worried about paying their own bills  APPEAR to maybe not have taken the advice of many and have proper reserves that you dip into during this type of situation.

It's actually been really heartwarming to see the response so far.Ya a month ago I made a post on BP what would you do.. and of course 75% of those on BP who answered did so with the NO PAY NO STAY or we are not a charity  or we are a profit business or its not our issue etc etc..
