This was and is the thrust of the arguement that each of us is looking through the "rose colored" glasses of our viewpoints for our chosen business direction.But in order to carry this on I believe that Eddie's attempt in starting this was not to relive the clash, but to try to find out how each investor "marries" the two or three different viewpoints to maximize the profits.So, I will ask each of you, when your main focus says that a property or deal does not work for your standards, do you even attempt to work the numbers using another method?

That said, I know landlords here in Seattle that have had tough situations thrust on them because of the city code, and I am by no means characterizing Seattle as "Landlord Friendly", I'm just saying that a couple of restrictive laws and a difficult city council aren't enough of a reason for me to NEVER invest in one of the fastest growing cities in the United States.PS: I own 6 short term rentals, 2 of which (the maximum allowable by current city codes) are in Seattle.

@Charles Kappe,If your LLC buys the property, the lender will likely do a commercial loan.Technically, though, I'm thinking the property should be owned by a non-profit, given your thrust of being a Sober Living home.Either way, best to get some financial and legal professionals on your team.
