Make sure that they know what your daytime job is and that you are a professional.

I know in Minnesota there's a 60 day time period for the local government to respond to the property owner in regards to permits.

@Leonard The noise wasn't too bad during the daytime but when I went in then night I could hear it inside  the house  due to more interstate traffic, which is what got me worried
