I want to get the attic finished and turned into a media/home theatre room.I'm curious how to calculate how much more value that would add to the house?

If you don't he doesn't have to listen to you and will tell you to take your constitutional mumbo jumbo elsewhere but when you move in this fashion he/she can't do that... box them in....box them in.. its all theatre .. i'm telling you its like a conveyer belt of victims...one after the other...NEEEXT!!!  

It is attractive in retirement due to the resources, vibrant environment, lower cost access to sports/ theatre, continuing education, etc.  

You want to be as creative as possible and add that you can also do movie theatre rooms and game rooms.
