I did notice major road/sidewalk construction around the area and am think if the government is investing in this area there’s probably a reason, but I would still consider buying it even without the construction.

Plus, new sidewalks around the new garage, and a new sidewalk on the side of the existing main house. 

I literally look at the type of people walking around the sidewalks and the other houses.

Your inspections will vary...I feel it's based on the individual...if they get a good first impression and like you then they do a basic walk --- you pass...if they trip on a sidewalk crack and have to knock more than once you are about to be written up for 20 minimal fail items and have to add 2-4 weeks to your rent delay because you go to the back of the line for the reinspection.

Both tenants voluntarily help to maintain the property -- grass cutting, snow removal, keeping sidewalks clean, repainting their apts, etc.Does anyone have a strategy to suggest?

People really take of properties, landscaping, and the sidewalks are nice.

Maybe some trade like hire them to mow yards, or landscape, pressure wash sidewalks, clean out vacant units, etc.

With so many pails, most are not full, they get blown over even before pickup, and after pickup, there's 12 empty cans rolling around on the sidewalk, and blown into the street, especially if the tenant gets back late from work, and the cans are on the sidewalk or in the streets all day obstructing traffic.

Were installing a sidewalk next to it, and my contractor said the retaining wall is doesn't have strong foundation, and there's water pressure from our neighbors ground that push into that wall ( watering plan, raining systems going directly to the retaining wall).

Are there no sidewalks when the other streets do?
