I recently purchased a condo that was previously owned by a cigarette smoker. 

Right now out of seven units I have four smokers, all of which claim to be 'outdoors' smokers, two of which I discovered subsequent to leasing.

My ideal property is one where some or all of these major systems behind the walls or hidden in utility closets are brand spankin' new, but all the cosmetic stuff (the easy and inexpensive stuff that you can see and adds the most value) is just awful, worn, dirty, dated, cluttered, and smelling of cat pee and cigarette smoke.

I know a few oil burner mechanics who are smokers that routinely put out their cigarette butts in a can of oil.

The upper unit is fine, but the lower unit…former smoker lived there.

When he takes a break he pointed the roller up and sits the other end of the extension pole on the ground, and he pushed the pole inside this cup holder thing, so it won't tip over...while he smoked a cigarette in one hand and worked his mobile phone with the other hand.Then I noticed he walked funny, dragging his feet. 

I don't send the Cozy background check request until I screen the hard copy application for income requirements, pets, smokers, etc. 

There was  a smoker in the house and I am wondering if this is the cause. 

I rented my duplex out to some druggies (no, i didn't do a background check and yes, i will DEFINITELY do that from here on out), and they left the stench of meth and cigarettes in the place.
