I heard and ad for Anchor Loans on the Bigger Pockets podcast so I'm hoping they're a good company to be associated with the podcast.

It's needed a wall anchor, a paved driveway (I didn't do my homework on the city rental permit regulations... they require a paved driveway) and new windows.  

@David Terbeek From the areas you've mentioned, I'm interested in Parma.Do you know what are the economic anchor for this suburb ?

I expect that the other party will counter with terms that will also work for him/her/them.Another reason I like to present my ideal terms is that I use them as an anchor in the negotiations.

In my opinion unless I were planning to own that home for 10 years or more, it doesn't make sense to anchor myself with the debt and the expenses which in totality may not be much of a financial advantage over renting, only to limit my mobility. 

The owner put an anchor system in place to shore up the wall, that they claim is guaranteed for 23 more years.  

This is a great case study on how to use the BP  forums' collective knowledge and resources as an anchor for successful negotiations. 

There are some solid anchor points in the area with the new condos at the old antique mall, the redevelopment happening at the old Lynn's Paradise property, and the planned changes that will come near Louisville Stoneware.  

If you're looking to flip and sell the home, I would consider actually doing the wall anchor repair method if you got walls caving in.Keep us posted!

@Joe Pitrolo Precious metals, especially gold, are considered to be a "safe haven", somewhat of an anchor in a well diversified (bank) portfolio.
