My mother has a sfh that she wants to ditch.

Hi..I am currently investing in Ohio but my mother in law has a few rental property in Md..

She is finishing up Nursing school, will be employed full-time by next summer, also has good credit, very small amount of debt, never owned a home.We live together in a 4br home that I built 5 years ago.

Alot of people claim probates is a niche market that i read here on BP, not the case here every investor and their mother mails probates.Even when you mail them regularly every couple months, when its time for them to call, there are probably at least 15-20 other investors doing the same thing you do (mailing them regularly).

A short while later my mother had to sit me down and explain "predatory lending" as I was apparently charging too steep of penalties to my brothers when they failed to repay their loans in a timely manner.My own son, though not yet three, participates appropriately in the real estate business ... his favourite activity is walking through potential properties and he often notices things we, "big people", miss {like the big hole in the floor under the kitchen counters ;) ... where apparently the kitty-cat lives}.At this point, I invest a portion in his name on all new properties, but as he gets older, the plan is to enable him to make those decisions himself.

My husband's family is from Yellow Springs outside of Dayton, his mother is still there, and he works for a foundation that requires he visit every other month..

My mother and I have been looking to go in on one together to generate cash flow.

Almost as profitable as a nice nursing home (and you probably know what a rip that can be...)

My mother passed away in April, 2010 and since she was my father's caregiver, I had to quit my job in Colorado and move back to California to care for my dad, who had Alzheimer's.
