The fact that we have a complex makes it more appealing.

The idea of getting $160,000 for a house 5 years from now that is worth $250,000 doesn't seem very appealing.

A cabin 20 mins from Killington with summer appeal (not far from White River Junction) seems like the perfect entry point for me and quick recovery of upfront costs after a few successful winters and break-even summers. 

On the other hand it's so appealing when you think of holidays in a pool house. 

Get it fixed up and back on market as soon as you can, for us this has meant working evenings and weekends to do so or spending extra money here and there to bring in someone else to do certain things (depends on which you value more...your time or your money).And curb appeal!

How much difference will it make on appraisal value if one spends time/energy doing allot of little things that add to curb appeal, impressions when you walk in a home etc. 

With no curb appeal (compared to surrounding properties), the 2/1's are $650 max.

Our families have dubbed it the “retire home” because that’s what’s they all  envision when they think of retiring hahaBut the area is building up, so it may be more renter appealing by the end of the decade, but we want to start soon

Honestly, being a landlord, managing properties, or renovating houses does not appeal to me.

Should I consider putting in simpler light fixtures to appeal to the masses?
