Apparently this was popular in the past, but with the SAFE Act and the Dodd-Frank legislation that was passed, there is legal concern that rent applied toward the tenant's future down payment constitutes a "security" which means many additional rules and regulations must be followed.  

To get a mortgage I will need to have a good source of income, so my plan is to apply for estate agency jobs until I am accepted, for the purpose of learning the ins and outs of the trade, the legislation, talking the talk and because it's a job with a decent income (atleast compared to mine).

As an architect who has studied casually the evolution of my profession, I feel that architects have worked really hard at legislating their requirement on commercial projects, instead of working really hard at proving their worth on any project.

Hi, I'm planning on launching a direct mail campaign and hopefully there will be leads in which I can use Subject To and Seller Financing to solve problems and get some cash flow.My concern is what the limitations are to these transactions as they relate to this legislation.

This country will suffer economically as more businesses close up rather than risk violating a term of legislation which those who passed it into law did not understand or, in many cases, even read.

Maybe it's differing forms of legislation in various states.

Those pieces of legislation are the crux of why RTO is now taboo.
