We went to Belize 11 years ago on our honeymoon, before it became a well-known destination.  

It is a tourist destination with people coming in regularly from San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles .  

Not sure what you choices are.. but Alaska airline rewards never expire.. as long as you remain active once in a 36 month period.. you could not pay me to fly southwest  LOL.. they don't partner with anyone.. and in my mind you only get travel rewards if your going to use them for vacations.. to awesome destinations not to save 125 bucks on southwest.. but that's just my thoughts on it as a mileage junkie.. 

It is the number one vacation destination in the world.Can you tell us more about the town in Italy?

There is a lot of competition but it also is the most visited destination in the us with 80 million travelers and only getting better with the enchantments to Disney. 3rd universal park and speculation of a 5th Disney park at some point.

In aviation, we never put ourselves in a box where there’s only one option like having an alternate destination if the weather at our intended destination is bad.

The Florida coast is also attractive around Destin, Pensacola, Tampa, Jacksonville, and many other areas.

I would google top 10 vacation markets or similar wording to find articles.Then it comes down to the property, the amenities and how well it's managed.A beach front house is going to better than a 3rd row house or a condo.Find true vacation destinations and a great property and run the numbers.

At first glance it seems like an intriguing prospect to be able to more easily access a much nicer property in an attractive destination town.
