Countertop model is OK but kind of cheesy if you rented it with a mounted one.10.

From what I hear at the local REIA meetings and bigger pockets meetups, most folks (myself included) are looking more in the surrounding areas now: Rocky Mount, Fayetteville, Knightdale, Wake Forest, Sanford, Burlington to name a few.  

We also have a paragraph regarding "Alterations", which prohibits things such as mounting a big flat screen, painting, and similarly significant issues.

Some have mounted or free-standing microwaves.

But you missed the biggest and most viable application... ground mount utility (or commercial) grade applications that make very good financial sense. 

At the bare minimum you need a safety harness, ascender/descender or Rope Grab, need to know how to use and wear it properly, need to have a second person capable of reaching and assisting you if you DO get fall arrested and happen to go off the roof, and you need permanently mounted roof ridge anchors.
