@Nicholas HoffmanI purchased my first property (a duplex), lived in it for 2 years, then moved closer to Boston and started renting again while continuing to own the duplex/invest in areas where real estate is more affordable.

Hey there, I live in MA and own two properties in metro Boston. 

Compared to our other portfolios I prefer Cleveland based on the yield, ability to operate, great selection across classes (A-F), changing national reputation, price points, and the fact that I simply like going there (I live in Boston). 

Best advice and resources for an experienced Boston rental agent making the jump to residential sales.

Case-Shiller index of housing shows that the Boston region up 0.48%, compared to the national index which was up 0.15%.

So the area I live in is relatively close to Boston, and mortgages are pretty high for the area.

@Carter WongSan Francisco, Hawaii, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston are examples of primary markets which are NOT ideal for cashflow investing.
