I have one here in Round Rock, near your other place that would work.  

I pulled some data yesterday on North Austin, Round Rock and Cedar Park (northern suburbs) and more than 50% of homes are going for over asking price.

The purpose of my post was to begin scouting out poppin vacation spots (preferably in year-round travel destinations) in areas that allow short-term rentals.

Sometimes these need to be pounded in our head because many people will still try to make a square peg fit in a round hole even if they know better.

The Austin-Round Rock MSA saw an increase in median home price from $465,000 to $482,364, for a month to month increase of $17,364 from the preceding month and a 43% increase from the previous year.

So there are very few setups where you can STR a full house year round.

It's still early days, but I'm rounding out another project in Oakland and it's starting to feel like now's the time to make this happen!

I'd really like a year-round destination, preferably near a lake and mountains (not really interested in beach properties).
