That is why I believe IMO that opendoor (old zillow flipping homes model) does not work.

For instance, if you're in some of the well known markets that multi-family does very well in ( Boston, Columbus, Etc. ) , multifamily could be a great starting point for your investment business. 

If you think things are busy now, wait until you get stuck with a problematic tenant!

They cannot continue a lawsuit on your behalf if you have not authorized it.I would send them a short demand:"You have five business days to stop the lawsuit and turn over all documents, funds, and anything else pertaining to my property.

One thing in real estate and probably most other businesses is that most people including me don't know how to measure and evaluate risks.  

@Christopher Alley we use a lot of private money in the rehab business, and I have never paid any up front fees. 

Now that the unit is finished, it's going to be listed for $2,450/month and the same model on similar lots are appraising for $410k.

Any other sympathy is unfortunately just Poor Business Practice.  

I actually used to have a game modeled after Monopoly that was called Slumlord😂 same type of antics with buying property, maintenance cards, dealing with code enforcement etc… Bought it at a real estate convention 

Usually it takes them weeks to respond and they come up with some crazy stuff like by business is paying for the trip and need to pay with a certified check outside the platform.
