If one does qualify for real estate professional status, does the tax savings translate to income made at the W2 job, or only to the income made in pursuit of the real estate related activities such as rental income, etc?

I changed majors twice in college in pursuit of something I enjoyed. 

I love working with investors because they are enjoying the pursuit of a hot ROI.

It seems like you are liquid enough and if you possess the skills to be successful in a tech sales job, you will likely land on your feet and pretty quickly.I wouldn't necessarily push you to do it, but if it's a good deal, I would certainly understand your pursuit of it.

If I could go back now that I am 48, I would have taken more risks and been more aggressive in pursuit.
