I am doing my MBA as well so it takes some discipline because REI is much more fun than my classes.

I will check the info provided.My point was that there are many tenants (low income) who want to buy houses, and enough income, but just do not have skill set or discipline to set aside for onetime rent payment and down payment down the road....

If you will be sufficiently disciplined to save and pay your taxes (or borrow just in time), opt out.

Discipline.

When I was in college (in DC) at 23 I was not nearly as disciplined and now I'm trying hard to make up for it.I don't know about Texas, I'll be interested to hear what others have to say.

But it is also about discipline.  

It takes discipline to make sure you keep up with it.

I feel this will discipline me to make money doing only real estate and grow my skills as opposed to making money as an anesthesiologist and potentially losing it by being inexperienced and jumping into expensive real estate deals I have not yet learned the skills to execute. 

The civil fine shall be assessed by OBRE after a hearing is held in accordance with the provisions set forth in this Act regarding the provision of a hearing for the discipline of a license. 

I tend to be very fundamentalist and disciplined person.
