If it's totally their fault, I'd find out what happened before deciding to fix it now or wait as if it's likely to happen again in the same place, like their kid leans back in kitchen chairs and falls into the wall right there, no sense in fixing it now just to have him damage it again next week.     

For example:My foot hurts > Stubbed my toe > Poorly positioned barcalounger > I put the chair there > The outlet for my TV is too close to the wall, putting my chair in an awkward position > My house is old and wasn't built with widescreen TV's in mind > Widescreen TVs weren't invented earlier > The Devil.See?

Anybody put mechanized chair lifts from street to front doors?

Definitely not an unfinished basement like that and folding chairs / tables would be a mistake as well.

I gave permission for a charity group to install a chair lift for one of my long term tenants; however, I realize I will end up covering cost of removal, but we plan to renovate when they leave, anyway.

We have tables, chairs, microphones, just about everything.
