EddieBy law the bank is prohibited from dealing with you directly, it is interpreted as attempting to collect during the bankruptcy so any attempts to sell anything must be done through the trustee but it is done often. When the foreclosure is just days away the bank can postpone it but in my experiences the bank can be trusted to pretty much not stick to anything they say, but it doesn't hurt to try.
