I put every one the lease so I can sue all of them and get my money from one or all if I have to take them to court.

I do this and get most or all of my principle back with the refi.  

Sometimes a 2nd mtg holder will release a mortgage, but get the owner to sign a new promissory for some or all of the unpaid balance, which is of course now an unsecured note....but if that's what was for sale here, it would have been originated at the time of the short sale, not 2009.
