Bring it back in BTC.Sure you have been declaring taxes in Both AUD and USA so that is a question for your CPA.I strongly believe the 1031 exchange option is not possible for you from country to country.

The biggest "con" I found was many sellers automatically think an agent (you have to declare your agent status) has a hidden agenda, either you know something they don't so assume your fair offer is way too low, or don't respond when I leave messages, letters, etc., thinking I'm just trying to get a foot in the door for a listing, not actually buy the property.
