Real estate agent and investor pro/con
I am in the process of purchasing some rental properties for my portfolio. I finished my real estate agent course and am studying for the state board. However I have been told that there are some major cons with being both an agent and investor. I was hoping for some insight about the pros and cons. Thank you!

@Rory M. the only cons are for those who are unethical. If you are intending to do buy and hold, there is not much downside in my opinion to being realtor. I have yet to run into a situation where I feel like it has limited me in any way, and quite to the contrary, I have the best "team" because I have had to develop this team to help my clients here in the Chicago area. I would never have met my attorney, home inspector or lending contacts if I hadn't been a realtor.
