@Joe Cummings , some of us immigrants have made millions from practically zilch when we came to this country.

That area has had a huge influx of Chinese (mostly mainland) immigrants in the past 10-20 years, and the population is almost 50% of Chinese ethnic descent.

I believe that Texas is one of the best places to invest and that probably not change anytime soon unless the government slows down immigration.  

We don't know what the backlash against immigration will be.

Immigration alone is a huge driving force behind the growth in Ontario.

You are correct in the trends that are driving more renters (flexibility, downsizing, etc) in various demographic groups, including immigration is still a big driver in renter demand as immigrants typically rent initially.  

A little about me:Ever since immigrating to this wonderful county 25 years ago, I remember dad wishing all of his children to own a piece of real estate.

However I'm in the process of immigrating.

That 4m is mostly excess retirements (the "great resignation" isn't millenials quitting jobs to sit at home and spend welfare money on avocado toast, it's the 55 year olds that retired in 2020, rather than working another 5-7 years), followed by (these two are tied) a staggering decline in net (legal) immigration to the United States, and COVID deaths.

The reason I want to succeed is to show people like me (first generation immigrant, sandwich generation who takes care of parents and own family, middle class w2 American struggling to thrive) that the dream of financial freedom is not out of reach.
