I'd sneak in the actual rewiring of the house, though, but as much as humanly possible, I'd make it work with the newest requirements. 

In this case you may be best served by investment through your self directed retirement account, or a trust, or even in your personal name.If on the other hand you intend to operate as a dealer in notes, or have outside investors providing capital, or enter into loan origination, you would probably want to form an LLC or even a Series LLC.

You wouldn't just hand a wad of cash to a guy to go down to the car dealer and pick you out a car; you'd visit the dealership, hopefully test drive the car, look up the values in Kelly Blue book, maybe let your mechanic look it over, make sure they gave you a valid title without liens, etc.
