your sub list is a very closely guarded secret.. and some guys will buy jobs that are not that profitable just so they keep their subs working for them.. the difference though in our market with new construction is you NEVER pay for materials up front and contractors have their own credit and you pay once a month for work in place.. this having to front for materials and buy them for the contractor takes a ton of time ..
