The actual home is pictured below.It did need some work - there was a dilapidated in-ground pool that needed to be demolished, filled in, graded and seeded (we got a quote for $3,500 and credited the eventual buyers $3,000 at closing).  

As David Greene once said that money should be viewed as a seed to plant.

If you're looking for private investors, it's good to reach out before you have a deal under contract and see who's interested... sort of planting the seed, if you will.

I'm not saying you should definitely empty your 401k and use it seed your RE career.

We have seed money, but I'm unclear how bank lending to an LLC works.

Hopefully any gains from this house will be seed money for another deal in the future.

Don’t know that we’d be starting an ongoing operation but I do think I’d be planting a seed with the experience.

Plant seeds and be patient.

I got my real estate license so I can send offers whenever without having to bother anyone and save on commission when listing.Obviously people will have a little shock when you come in a decent amount off asking but do you try to justify it to them and maybe plant a seed or just send send send til one pans out?
