Christian Drake I would strongly suggest you establishing a Corporate Entity such as a S Corp or a LLC depending on your REI Endeavors.

The closest office is in Corporate woods but they have additional offices in Olathe, Blue springs, etc. 

If he has an LLC or corporation he may be able to hire you as an employee and then you can manage as the 'owner'.

Also if you're going to buy a condo in Arlington you might want to put it on a corporate job board.

Hi All,If your main goal is to invest in rental properties and retire from the corporate world in the next 5-10 years would you choose a job that pays more, is more stressful, longer hours and more one dimensional or a job that pays 20k less but is less stressful, easier commute and more transferrable to other industries?

My wife just recently formed a corporation in CA and elected S-Corp status with the IRS (via form 2553).
