Why are you shopping for property in Akron, Ohio?

REITS that own shopping malls or sky-scraper office buildings are effectively the walking dead and many will not survive. 

I have a client whom I am designing a modular home and he has been shopping around for loans.

I am currently under contract on a property that has 2 duplexes (4 units) and shop buildings on it.

My thought was to rent it as a mid term rental on Airbnb and vrbo etc because it’s in a desirable residential neighborhood walkable to schools and shopping. 

Charitable remainder trust, opportunity zones, 1031 to another property, installment sales, accelerated depreciation of your next property etc

Certainly there are a lot more hoops to jump through disclosure wise and HR generally frowns on it fin some cases.Brokers at entrepreneurial shops (usually a local company that is privately owned or by a few partners) typically buy deals themselves a lot more.

But you may need to review your current holding and fill in the holes so that your ship is tight and can weather storms for you to leave a W2 long-term.The above is regardless of whether you want to do SFR, MFR, Officers, Land, development, or Shopping centers.

I also run a business out of the property so need to continue to live in the house in order to be allowed to run the business out of the shop in the property.
