My background is architecture, and I'm now GC'ing my projects.

I have a degree in Architecture and have over 10 yrs experience in commercial design and construction as a project manager. 

Congrats @Nelson Barss,I've also been on the other side doing architectural design and am looking to make the leap in the next couple of months.

The violations aren't an issue for me, I have architectural background, the basement from what I see is already pretty bare, at most I might have to take out the bathroom still in the basement, file papers with the DOB and get an inspector in to look at the place.

Craftsman Cal Bungalows are one of my absolutely fave architectural styles (I grew up in one, guess I got imprinted), and I've rehabbed quite a few in LA.What interior space will the new rear entrance open into?

You can run the project and be the developer and sub out everything from architecture to plumbers to tile guys etc... that is what I do with my developments.  

Once out of the military you continued to advance your circle of knowledge and skills by investing in some architectural drafting classes that led to several years of residential design work on the side while you worked full-time.

They are very architecturally interesting custom homes on South Mountain. 

I just moved out of NYC and miss the architectural charm everywhere you look.
