As the owner of Oz Realty, I wouldn’t recommend any other property manager in Toledo to take you on.Most companies don’t allow landlords to use their own contractors for repairs due to internal operating inefficiencies. 

We talked to our accountant and she was recommending individual LLC's as well as individual checking accounts/credit cards etc..

I was talking about multifamily closer to 10+ units like you said than just 5 units, so there might have been some miscommunication there.I appreciate and respect you, just wanted to make sure the facts were straight.

So talk to your bank and insurer before continuing. 

I recently talked to someone locally to me (Ohio) who got in trouble with the LCB for giving away a bottle of wine with his luxury rental as even that was considered selling it. 

If you are talking about investments of multiple 6+ figures that will be tied up for years then you may want to have your own.
