We actually walked into a 'rehabbed' ranch that had put 'click in place' flooring over the old carpet in the living/dining room.

I saw a kitchen knife on the dining table by the door and was very wary of it, trying to keep my distance from her.

I skip over all the 50-100 home neighborhoods, storage facilities, fast casual dining, and autoparts stores that sprout up, those have become almost too common to notice until HOA's get into heated battles with developers over access rights (and usually win). 

Also lots of great SFHs, shopping, dining, and neighborhoods in this area as well.

I use LVP in my rentals for kitchen/dining/living room and carpet fro upstairs bedrooms.

I typically see the same thing where carpet has been added on thick oak flooring and refinish the living/dining but not the bedrooms because of noise concerns but have not tested refinishing the bedrooms.
