I am located near Martinsville, VA and am interested in buying there and surrounding areas (Danville, Roanoke, Winston Salem, Greensboro, etc).If there is anyone else from the area or surrounding areas that has any contacts or resources as far as realtors, title companies, contractors, lenders, or even wholesalers, please let me know.

Look at population growth, job opportunities, and other economic factors that will drive rental demand.

You are going to want to keep a PM in place for any property that is more than a 2 hr drive from you.

I don’t care how great the city is, how many companies are moving to it or surrounding areas in Texas, or how much people love it there. 

We plan on being  long distance owners/mgrs and can't imagine findng & hiring someone to rent a truck, drive around and grab furniture on a onesy/twosy basis, particularly within a reasonable timeframe to not delay launch.

More people wanted to live there, AND there is limited land available if you want to live within 10 minute walk to the beach, or 20 minute drive to Rodeo Drive, or whatever it is you want to do.
