Rookie Investor in rural Southern Virginia

Hey Guys,

I have been listening to the podcast and lurking in the forums for several years and have recently decided to take action. When I first started looking into real estate investing, I was a little more strapped for cash and had looked into wholesaling. Now, I have the capital to invest myself and am looking for my first deal. I am bad for getting analysis paralysis and have been searching for a couple months and have made a couple offers but none have been accepted yet. 

I am located near Martinsville, VA and am interested in buying there and surrounding areas (Danville, Roanoke, Winston Salem, Greensboro, etc).
If there is anyone else from the area or surrounding areas that has any contacts or resources as far as realtors, title companies, contractors, lenders, or even wholesalers, please let me know. I think I have financing in place and a decent agent at the moment but am open to making new contacts.

Also curious as to if there are any RE Meetups in the area?

Looking forward to getting the ball rolling and getting my first deal under my belt.
