This is true, and in my opinion it's a dangerous mindset all the way around and also demonstrates why setting a reasonable floor for things like minimum wages that adjust with inflation isn't a bad idea.

Dangerous to bet solely on appreciation but if you need to park some capital in a low risk asset to hedge against inflation and also for tax reductions - those areas may be great for you.

Hi Daniela,It would be smart to have an inspection done on the furnace paying close attention to age and if the heat exchanger is cracked (a carbon monoxide danger).Using a home inspector might give you a better opinion than a furnace sales/tech type person.Find out the remaining years of service life for the furnace--and the cost to replace it when the time comes.Good Luck!

I messaged an online attorney and they seemed to think I had done everything in my power to alert them and that in Texas you have to let them know about the dangerous condition and take steps to remedy it.

That's what most of them say.....Fun fact about myself:I am 1 inch shorter than when my youngest daughter was conceived and then born....motorcycles are FUN and apparently dangerous, but I can't wait until I can send my two girls off to college and buy another bigger one....2 wheels are life!
