Has any one ever bought a church or building and repurposed it as a rental? 

They are very strict and monitor to find and shut down unauthorized STRs.

When I tried to push back the utility company said to prove it was a misreading, pay the balance or water would be shut offContractors/tenants - when I purchased the place it was occupied and then covid hit.

My question is, do I just give them notice and tell them it's not working our for me then just keep my mouth shut until they leave? 

Based on the other comments here, any of the plumbers you bring in should be able to shut your water off at the street to test either the groundwater or neighbors line theories.

Medium term rentals scare me thought because if they don't like STR and we are using MTR to skirt the rule, what stops them from finding that loophole and shutting that off too.
