The biggest rehab projects were redoing the flooring (with sound barrier underlayment) on the whole house, upgrading the addition on the upstairs to match the quality of the rest of the house, hanging drywall & sound board on the ceiling of the basement and upgrading the basement kitchen/bathroom.

It is funny in that some have converted their attics to additional rooms and they have the most awkward ceilings, but they still rent.Hope this helps give some confidence.

I'd like to get it permitting while things have more streamlined.An outbuilding (workshop and detached garage) on a SFH also in SB county that is already plumbed with a 1/2 bath, wired with a 30 A sub-panel, and has finished ceiling/walls in the workshop.
