If I was staying in the military longer, I would definitely make use of this loan as many times as possible.  

I'm not in Philly but in general local banks or even a credit union can be a good option vs the national banks. 

You'll probably have a slightly higher rate, but you'll maximize the cash-out and have your private lenders interest paid off.In the meantime, go to every local/regional bank/credit union and see what they can offer.

I understand the tech/government/military/industrial complex makes the area attractive from a recruiting standpoint, but for the higher end jobs Amazon could probably move to Bismarck, ND and still attract people.

Being military I'm not crazy about long distance renting and this is not our forever home.

I've been looking in Texas, specifically Killeen, as there will be military members with regular pay checks etc.Any thoughts or opinions are helpful.Andrew

With current LTV, the credit union says we have been approved for approx $48K.
