By default, a multimember LLC is taxed as a partnership.There is an opportunity to be taxed as a corporation(C or S) if proper elections are made.Just a reminder that an LLC is required to file a partnership by March 15 of every year.The partnership will generate a form K-1 that is required to be given to each member which is then used to complete their individual tax return.

@Ketul ShethRecommend you first figure out the property Class you want to invest in, THEN figure out the corresponding location to invest in.If you apply Class A assumptions to a Class B or C purchase, your expectations won’t be met and it may be a financial disaster.So, when investing in areas they don’t really know, investors should research the different property Class submarkets.

I would have to pay my own taxes, find and coordinate my own cleaners, deal with phone calls late at night when the tenant can't figure out how to operate the A/C or a toilet is clogged, and so much more.

It's all about realistic expectations.We've dealt with many newbie investors, that despite extensive chats with them to try & set proper expectations, buy a Class C rental - yet expect Class A results.

@Matthew C DominyLaws overseas and raising capital as you mention are 100% based on those laws - us laws may not apply - you will need several attorneys for thisTo be honest the chances of getting us investors to invest overseas in projects will be very challenging as they will have little to no protections.Just being upfront as it’s very difficult raising $ in the us - in another country makes it even harder
