Scouring available and off market properties How did you finance this deal?

Are you interested in real estate investing or just scouring the internet for answers?

I'm new to the RE investing arena in San Antonio but have been learning a lot from the forums, books and scouring the market for a great deal.

Rookie here, I’ve been scouring Nashville for deals and am focusing in on SFH that need work, and multi families I could house hack.

I have seen very mixed reviews scouring through the BP forums and am curious.

@Frank PatalanoI have been scouring Greater Boston and Providence for transactions that fit the right profile.

I have been scouring these real estate sites for months to try and understand as much as possible.

I have decided to really scour the area and look for as many off market opportunities as possible. 

Some mentees will act as a bloodhound for the mentor, knocking on doors, driving for dollars, scouring the internet, making cold calls, or performing other services that help the mentor find new deals.

I've scoured this site for months upon months and haven't come to a solid conclusion...so, I'm sure I am asking something similar to every other newb- and I apologize not only for the repetition but the length.
