It was slated to be a "Village" which was to include retail stores, condos, floating stage on the lake for concerts and so much more to surround the Westin 4+ star hotel.

We bought 6.5 acres near Lake Texoma in Mead OK about a year and a half ago, and we are trying to expand it's usage as well with a similar plan. :) I'm currently trying to find some REO mobile homes or "low priced" mobile homes that don't need too much work to be "livable".

And, Donald Trump has plenty of properties in locations that were already great before he bought or developed--he has a golf course in Palos Verdes; oceanfront condos in Baja; a casino on the Vegas strip; a hotel on 5th Avenue, condos with Lake Michigan views in downtown Chicago, etc.

As alluded to in the first post, I regret not having done other things such as when we first moved to AL 8 yrs ago....you could buy (buildable) lake-front property for under $30k.
