'Greater' Palm Springs area (Palm Desert, La Quinta, Bermuda Dunes, Rancho Mirage) can allow you to utilize your money in the best way, meaning, you can buy a a great product for your buck, since the actual Downtown PS will be a little more 'overpriced'. 

Exactly why bought it the ‘newer’ area right off the i17 and Sonoran Desert.
