Vacation rental home areas in Southern California

I live in LA county. I am trying to list out all the vacation home areas so that it can be rented on daily, weekly or monthly basis than 6 months or 1-year contract. I am not looking at "A" grade areas like long beach, Huntington beach areas since they are not affordable to me.

I am looking around $200k budget. I heard Palm springs have vacation homes but only gets busy during one season of the year.

Any one has a comprehensive list of those areas/cities ?

Hi Pandu, I can get in conversation with you offline about where to look for properties that will drive strong revenue as short term rentals. There are good buying opportunities in Palm Springs, but there are growing restrictions on short term rentals there. My company compiles data in the many markets where we manage vacation rentals, so can help you hone in on those markets where you can afford to buy and also see strong rental income.
