Thanks Alex, we were initially given the opportunity to get a line of credit on the 2 houses we own at a higher interest rate, but that too was denied to us.

I would say anything within 1/2 mile is probably a good general rule, but of course each campus has it's area where the students live and that could be along a bus line - who knows.LOL.

@Stanley Bronstein  @Jay HinrichsTen years ago Texas changed CD law so it eliminates almost all the abuses, but still maintains the essential element of allowing people unqualified for financing to purchase a property.The law that accomplishes all of this is astonishingly simple.

My main concern is my tenants are basically professional system abusers and I wouldn't be surprised if when the constable shows up, they magically have a check with the outstanding rent owed.
