And, of course, some renters in $300K homes trash nice homes too-- it's just less likely from what I've seen than in $30K homes as the $300K renter has a job and is more easily garnishable.I would not buy in that sort of poor neighborhoods, especially not to start, nor would I participate in section 8.

I think we have to determine this before we can attempt to understand the new concept of "Institutional Crowdfunding".It sounds like Institutional Crowdfunding of Loans is just a new name for the same old players but may now include Hedge Fund Operators that have made themselves "accredited" and without "accreditation" you can not participate in buying into your slice of the Institutional Lending Pie?

I would like to add and piggy back on comment by @Jean Bolger that if Account Closed is looking to create income stream that she could use now, they Participant Loan options of the Solo 401(k) need to be investigated.Amanda, since you own a small business, you could qualify for the Solo K and then take personal loan from it, the funds then can be used for a down-payment on the property that you would personally own.
