I've been reading some articles about the upcoming Brooklyn L line closure and was hoping that might put a temporary dent in housing prices but it doesn't seem to have had any effect as of yet.

Everything has to be really good.You rent a house, that is a temporary housing situation. 

A colleague referred me to a realtor down that way; I called and left a VM about a week ago and nope no return call...so I'm not going to fight to give them business.I am looking for either a home for my family for the long haul, or a temporary home for us to move to, then wait for the right home, and rent the temp digs.

I wonder if there is any temporary coverage available for situations like yours?

I used to flip one house doing the work myself at  a slow arduous pace I am trying to step up my game and will have a few houses going at once I would like something temporary and movable to keep track of the comings and going’s of workers, agents etc I have a lockbox so that is a step in the right direction.

But, there was a temporary lull in buying activity and I had other properties sitting.  

Or is it just a (temporary) glitch?...

It does appear that Air B & B focuses more on temporary living & furnished lodging, rather than the traditional long-term rental home market.

For under $ 1000 you can install 6 foot hi temporary fencing around property and secure with chain and lock and only give combo to working subs.
