We have dozens of top-notch golf courses, the annual Carolina Country Music Festival, a few annual bike rallies, and the Myrtle Beach Convention Center which hosts dozens of expos and events throughout the year. 

Being on the coast, there's a sea breeze that makes the humidity bearable and it's more of a small town feel (since you don't want the big city) with lots of great art, festivals and other quality of life aspects (not counting the occasional hurricane).Sounds to me like you need a big ol' road trip to find the place that appeals to you most.

They know that overstaying the festivities ¾ that is, continuing to speculate in companies that have gigantic valuations relative to the cash they are likely to generate in the future ¾ will eventually bring on pumpkins and mice.
