Milwaukee is an interesting market (I've been investing here for 15 years) but with 1.6 million people in the metro area and neighborhoods famously changing block-by-block, location is critical.

Purchased all cash as a major fire damaged home & knocked almost all of it down and re-built it with new addition and rooftop deck with jet-liner views of the city!

mainly cosmetic: stained floors, repaint, may need to replace carpet with hard wood, resurface cabnets, new shower, repatch water damage. 

Some specific examples include careless installation of vinyl flooring in our kitchen, resulting in irreparable damage; leaving an exposed nail in remodeled kitchen cabinetry that scratched our new range; installation of bathroom sinks with improper plumbing connections; and multiple instances of failure to remove cigarette butts, food trash, and construction waste from our property.

The deposit is to cover damages (and unpaid rent).

Signed lease and set up payment with Zillow rental portal, first got blocked yesterday, then my claim shows resolved while it shows my account is now disabled instead.

It recently had some roof and ceiling damage and we are looking to sell.  

Those numbers are always great in theory, but people fail to understand what it is like in practiceWhen you are competing with 50 other units in your block for rent, can't rent the property to qualified individuals, and are dealing with constant maintenance/property/tenants issues, you realize that the returns are too good to be true. 

It is well documented online that soap in a sump pump accumulates and solidifies and then blocks the pump’s abilty to move.

My question is if inspection turns up foundation damage will cost much more than what I expect and budgeted for...
