This being said, I don't look closely at anything west of the river except San Marco (east of Cassat), Riverside, and parts of Murray Hill.  

West of Orland Park is another hot area, I just did a commercial strip deal in Homer Glen, hot for commercial growth. because of the 355 extension and 159th exchange.

I believe the first meeting you attend is free (there may be a coupon or similar on the site).There is a meeting this Thursday (Oct. 20th) at Tommy's Pizza on 161 between Sawmill and Riverside (at the west end of Oakland Nursery) that should have as attendees every type of investor, flipper, wholesaler, landlord, etc. that you wrote about in your post including BP folk.

I've been looking in affordable areas like Blythe, Barstow, Riverside, and Victorville.
