Hey @Justin Brown, what @John Underwood said is spot on.SLC has been restricting STRs for a long while now and it isn't going to get better.People who have STRs in areas where they are not allowed are breaking the law and will eventually pay the price.Having said that, you should check and see if there are certain areas where it is allowed in some way and that is why they exist there.

I've recieved many quotes and preapprovals and they came back with the most competitive rate and terms for what we are looking to do.

The issue is that the lender  is looking for comps for a duplex, where 2 units were packaged together and sold together, but no comps exist for that in this neighborhood since all townhomes are being built and sold individually. 

Elk Grove is growing and has been/continues to be good.For appreciation, single family have been better than multi though.

Have others structured similar deals, and if so, what worked well (or didn’t)?
