I am actually in Sheridan, Michigan, which is roughly equidistant between Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Mount Pleasant.

I would say for picture holes nails or screws are acceptable, or mounting a TV.  

I could see demand for Fort Harrison State Park or close to Mount Comfort you could lure demand for business travelers.

I live in southern WV, the city is Mount Hope, right outside Beckley.

Mount Laurel, Moorestown, parts of Cherry Hill and Collingswood might be too expensive, but not sure if house hacking is the strategy (check out 148 E 2nd St in Moorestown).

Did they plan to run a circuit to each room and then use surface mount conduit?

Areas like Federal Hill/West End/Mount Pleasant also have some really nice areas.

Does anyone know any reputable GCs in Rocky Mount, NC? 

The two young men who currently rent this are quite tall (both over six feet) and did ask if the ceiling fans could be replaced with flush mounted ceiling lights as they were worried about bumping into the fans.
